Apply to transfer to the same school more than once?

I am currently a sophomore at a school I do not like. Academics and professors here are fantastic, but overall, I am not having a happy college experience. I am miserable here, and I'm constantly waiting for the moment that I leave this school.

I applied last spring to transfer to a school for Fall 2011 and was denied admission. Would it be illogical/pointless/stupid to apply to the same school again to transfer? Would you advise applying for Spring 2011 or Fall 2012 transfer admission?

Some side notes include that I was accepted to this school when I applied as a high school senior. I expect I was rejected when applying as a transfer due to my low college GPA. (They require a minimum of 3.0, and when I applied, I just met the minimum required GPA. My GPA has gone up, not a whole lot, but it is going up granted I continue what I've been doing.) I come from a top five LAC. The school I applied to last year/am perhaps applying again to this year is a top 20 university.

Thanks in advance.

Please help!! :(

Your fine I’ve applied twice to the same school (accepted twice) and due to different circumstances I’ve had to stay both times.

Im in the same boat as you. Write better essays to explain away the gpa your freshman year and your golden.

Schools do not consider how many times you have applied in the past when making their decision. This top 5 LAC seems to be a bad fit for you, I’d apply for transfer to the school and also have some matches and safety schools that you should submit applications to.

No point in you being miserable just because it’s a Top 5 LAC. In the long run, you will have more serious problems if you do not address your unhappiness.

Hope that helps
