I am a Chinese highschool student. The ccs PHYSICS is really attractive to me. But I heard that the CCS is very selective.
My GPA is 3.79.
SAT1 1720
SAT2 MATH 800 PHYSICS 770 CHEMISTRY 720

Apply to UCSB physics major or apply to UCSB ccs physics, which is better?

I have a high passion for physics and really want to do research soon.

the college of creative studies might be harder to get in to but im unsure. i would just apply to the regular physics major. i think that the ccs allows you to sorta create your own curriculum in a way… but i could be wrong. your best bet most likely would just be applying straight into physics and then possibly going in to the ccs later :)

You can still apply, and I would apply if you still want to. I’m in LnS physics at UCSB but I am friends with all the UCSB CCS physics majors. So apply as soon as you can. In some cases if they want you to they will contact you and tell you that you should apply to CCS Physics. Do it, the program is amazing.
