I had a question and heard that if you apply to both UW Bothell and UW Seattle chances are they will push you into Bothell is that true? I’m really aiming for UW Seattle but am trying to apply to Bothell as a back up. Would it ruin my chances of applying to both?
No, it does not “ruin your chances” to apply to both. They are separate applications and most students are applying to more than one school. But the UW application was due November 15, and UW-Bothell was due January 15. Are you asking for next year? (UWB will accept later applications until programs are filled, but you’ve hurt your chances. UW Seattle won’t take your application now.)
I’m a transfer student! So the application is due February 15, so next Thursday I believe. I’ve been going back and forth debating if I should just apply to both.
You sound like you’re not absolutely sure you can get Seattle, so you need to apply to more than one school in any case. If not Bothell, some other backup/safety.
Wouldn’t it depend upon your major ?
yeah i’m not too confident, just because I have a 3.11 overall GPA, even though I’ve had really good quarters(3.3-3.6 quarters) I had one bad quarter so it kinda destroyed my GPA. I’m just hoping my Personal Statement will get me in. I’m also a Business Major. Does that change anything?
I assume you’re familiar with the APW?

They took 31 with. 3.0 to 3.24 range but they don’t say how many applicants they had.
went to a Transfer thursday today at UW and the average GPA is really high. they take 80% based on GPA and 20% on holistic review. Hope this helps others! Thank you for everyone who responded it was extremely helpful!
@mtvy224 what was the average GPA?
@YeahIknow2 Click on the transfer worksheet for your major, it will have a section at the top with the GPAs of accepted transfer students
