apply?

i have pretty mediocre stats. like a 4.1 gpa and 2000 sat(am gonna take the act in april and the sat again).
obviously those stats wont get me into stanford but i do have what they like to call a "passion"
software application development. ive learned about 12 languages in teh last three years, started the software engineering club, went to a 2 week programming acadamy at stanford, started studenthelp, a software group in which i taught the rest of the group how to program, i have 3 apps on the iphone app store. have written apps for most other platforms too including windows and mac. i have also built a website(kinda unrelated)and a software engineering local internship.

i guess another "passion" of mine could be golf. i got 6th individually at the virginia AAA state golf tournament. tied course record in second round(played like **** in the first :/ )

so is stanford one of those schools that looks at only stats or could i actually have a shot in hell because of my "passions"

Stanford is unique. Of course you need good academics. However, you have a chance if you write awesome essays, which Stanford weighs heavily.

Yea, definitely apply!

yes
always apply unless the application fee would cause abnormal difficulties
