Hi, I plan to apply to Uni. of Michigan Ann Arbor but the deadline has already passed. I wanted to know how does that effect my chances given that I considered it a reach even before the deadline passed.

Applications submitted after the Feb 1 deadline will be considered only after decisions have been made for those who timely filed and then only if there are still openings (unlikely) for the program for which you applied. Thus, you can be rejected merely because there are no openings left.

Especially for UMich AA where they have plenty of solid applications. For a place where they are less selective, any warm body with a checkbook coming in is a welcome sight. For U-M, they don’t have to bow to that pressure.
