Applying again csu

I’m a community college student who is basically done with all 60 units complete. I applied for fall 2019 to a couple CSU’s however only one being close to me and the others in Northern California, I don’t feel ready to leave Southern California, so that’s why I’m having a difficult time right now since I got denied to Csulb which was the one school local to me. My question is can I apply again for spring 2020? The main reason for my denial was of my gpa which is a 2.8 and transferable 2.9. Hopefully I can try and rise it right now in the spring and summer and fall by taking about 2 classes. Or my other option would be to attend one of the csu I got accepted and tranfer to csu Long Beach. I’m a fine arts major by the way. Thank you!

You have experts right at your school. What did they say at your CC xfer center when you asked?

Go where you were accepted if they have your major and is affordable. Visit southern Cal on breaks.

There is no guarantee that if you wait to apply in the Spring, you will be accepted so you have to decide if it is affordable to wait another semester and reapply or take your guaranteed acceptance now. No one can make that decision for you. I would move on and get my degree at SFSU and not go in thinking about transferring.

Yes, you can reapply to LB in a year.but, as others capture above, LB may well reject you then too.

i am with the consensus above, go to one of the schools that accepted you. You are just talking about a couple of years and will have long breaks for Christmas, summer, etc. Trust me, it will go by in the blink of an eye.

@gigidiamands- Yeah, you can definitely try again but like NCal is saying, it really does go by in a blink of an eye. You’ll be home and done before you know it. Your choice though.
