I just completed my first semester at UMD with a 4.0 GPA.
I am also a member of the club golf team.

I was not able to get a nomination from any of my local sources, but I did apply for a VP nom.

Do you believe I am a competitive candidate for an appointment to USNA?

how did you get 4.0 GPA?
im going to do the same thing at Rutgers engineering
kinda scared that I might not get a great grades, but how did you do it?
what did you do to get the 4.0 gpa?

I just kept up with my work and made it a point to know my professors on a personal level. Since I had a great relationship with most of them, they were willing to write great recommendations to usna and they were more lenient on grading. Also, make friends with others in your classes. Your peers can be a great resource when studying, doing homework, etc. The key to success in college is time management. Make sure you know when all assignments are due, and work on them in advance. Complete your papers early and have your peers proofread them. Just work hard and don’t get distracted by others, and you will do great at Rutgers.

thanks a lot this is a great information that you have handed to me
another question, how can I know my professors at personal levels?
what kind of conversation? attend extra help?
how can I know them better, and make them know me at the same time
?
