Applying as a priority applicant -- it's not binding, is it?

I'm 98% sure it isn't binding (as Knox itself only has EA and RD) but I don't want to assume as you know what they say when you assume XD

And I also want to ask about my chances are as a priority applicant or how they determine what a "priority applicant" consists of to begin with (in general or at Knox). I'm just curious -- I didn't know they had these hooks until I started getting a few of them in my inbox and in the mail. I have to admit, it's a pretty compelling and attractive deal XD

Thanks a ton! :)

Priority applicant is not not binding and Knox EA is not binding either. What you get as priority applicant you will get your decision in 2 weeks and you will be considered for all academic scholoarships, also I believe you do not have to pay appl fee. My D got her admission letter in the end of October last year. I believe priority application has deadline of Nov 1.
Many schools do that to attract high qualified candidates to their schools. It is good for student who is well organized and has his/her act togheter- apply early, get in and have good time afterwards.
Knox has been on a roll- last 2 years they had classes larger than expected, this present freshman class is bigger than expected by 100 people. I an not sure what their policies going to be for the class of 2011 so it might be very smart thinking to apply early.
Good luck! Try to visit Knox and see if it fits your personality.
If you have any question will be happy to answer.

Oh, thank you very much!! I figured it was basically EA, only even earlier and more selective, but I thought it foolish to just assume. Good job to your D! :) I think I may during a longer weekend since Galesburg is about 4 hours away from where I live (Libertyville, IL). Thank you again and good luck to your D!

My son will be applying to Knox as a "priority applicant" also. I'm sure this isn't a guarantee of admission, but I would bet it's a pretty good sign. By the way, there are two or three Amtrak departures daily from Chicago that will get you to Galesburg in about 3 1/2 hours. Nice way to travel. The train station is a very short walk from the campus.

Has anyone heard regarding his priority application?

My son got accepted yesterday.
