Just a heads up. If you are applying as a transfer student through the Common Application and you also applied last year as a first-year freshman, your first-year CAID# will be used to identify you on your application. Your CAS ID number is only used by the Common App. to identify you in their system. So make sure you put your CAID# on all documents being sent in to your schools to identify you, not your CAS ID#. Unfortunately, they don’t make this clear and you’ll notice when you print out a pdf of your application that this is the case.

Hi Thank you! I am applying as a transfer, but I don’t know why CAID only shows in the PDF of my application. How can I know and write CAID# in my documents before submitting application?
