Applying as a transfer? Part-time, Full-time?

I'm applying to Pitt, PSU, and Temple at the end of this semester as a transfer for Fall semester 2013. But I'm not really sure if I want to be a part time student, live off campus and work, or just be a full time student. Do they have to meet some sort of number of part-time students? I was told from someone else it's easier to gain acceptance as a part-time student. Is this true?

Also if I was to apply as a part-time, go to school for a semester or two as a part time then decide to become a full-time, would I need to apply again, is there some sort of process I'd need to go through? Thanks.

I don’t think you can get FA for part-time study.

Oh so I won’t be able to take out any type of student loan if I was part time?

Not necessarily true, some FA is proportional to your enrollment status. Like you’re eligible for 1/2 pell if you’re enrolled 1/2 time.
You can get stafford loans up to your COA if you’re part time, I think.
Check to be sure, and trust me, get it in writing from their finaid office when it comes to anything even slightly out of the ordinary.
