Applying as a transfer to NYU

Hey, I've been thinking of transferring to NYU. I'm currently studying English at Hamline University. At the moment I have a 3.76 GPA and I would be attending another year before applying to transfer. Most likely the GPA will stay steady. My ACT score is a crummy 23, and I am strongly considering retaking it if it would drag down the application. However, I'm confident in my essay writing and could get great recommendations from a high school teacher and college professor. My work outside of academics is not jam packed but full of impressive leadership abilities. Another sore spot though is my high school GPA of 3.275. With the ACT score being my only big issue do I have a shot of getting in?

Can you afford NYU?

well, i don’t have that kind of cash laying around the house but i can figure it out.
