Applying as repeat junior next year?

The big three plus 1. Hotchkiss, Exeter, Andover, and The Asheville School

Were you accepted to any?

^ I didn’t finish any of the other apps :frowning: Next admissions cycle, I’m going to get everything done EARLY!

I agree! I just hope this year I miraclously get off the waitlist. There is nothing more in life I want (well for the past few years) than to go to boarding school.

^ I know right. Oh well, you should join the CC group on FB!

I gave up facebook for Lent, so I can’t go on facebook! :[

LOL that sucks! How long is lent?

A looongg time. I think it ends April 24. It started yesterday, and I’m dying without facebook (or soda or coffee). And of course, being waitlisted at Exeter doesn’t help!

Awww poor girl :frowning: Oh well, I’m just gonna wait until the hospital volunteer registration is open so I can volunteer this summer  Are you volunteering anywhere?

Well I am looking into volunteering at this local hospital, as well actually! At the moment, I am the treasurer for our school’s volunteer club, so I do a lot of things through there (coat drives, food drives, dinners, simple stuff like that) and I also coach little girls for cheerleading (I’m a cheerleader hah).

But I really now need something to do this summer! It was the deal between my mom and I, if I didn’t get in, I had to immediately start looking for summer programs. But I’m struggling because so many programs admissions are already closed. So it may be my first summer in six years I’ve spent at home. Hahaha. I wish I could get a job, but I’m too young! (15…)

I didn’t know cheerleaders applied to prep school O_O lol jk. I’m part of the Young Libertarians and French club at my school, and I hope to play Lacrosse next year but it is so expensive. I haven’t been able to do much because we don’t have much money :frowning: So that’s why I’m applying to boarding school, with financial aid, I can do many of the things I want and it’s so much easier to create clubs at boarding schools (: Have you thought about college yet?

Hahah, I’m probably like the only one out there! :] Young Liberarians Club? That’s cool!! I wanted to be part of the Spanish Club at my school, but it conflicted with other schedules. Do you play any other sports? I have friends that play lacrosse and it’s crazy expensive, like hockey! I love being a part of clubs but it’s hard with conflicts and stuff. I’m also a part of Science Olympiad. (cheerleader and a nerd? crazy right?)

College. Of coursee. I want to go to Duke mainly. (since I was a kindergartener and my mom went there!) But after this presentation I went to in the fall on college, I am particularly interested in the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, Yale and Brown as well. Haha. How about you?

I would like to play football also, but money is tight so I’ll probably just stick too Lacrosse. LOL Science Olympiad?! I thought about joining, but my school sucks at Ecs so we never know when meetings are. I love Duke so much  But, since I will probably qualify for questbridge, Princeton and Stanford are strongly on my radar.

Oh football is cool too! Personally I like basketball and football. I’ve never gone and seen lacrosse, despite my friends. Haha. I’m pretty good at science olympiad. Surprisingly, considering I start studying and building stuff like two days before the competition. I can usually place 1st or 2nd at my state competitions.

Princeton and Stanford. That’s cool! Duke is by far my favorite, but University of Pennsylvania is a close second along with Yale. I just looked up Questbridge, it sounds cool! I should probably start looking into scholarships soon. More hard work! Ick.

Football is the true American sport

What do you exactly do at a Science Olympiad competition?

Kind of depends on what events your doing. Like there’s biology, chemistry, physics events; pretty much anything.

^That’s cool! My favorite science is biology so I would probably do good in that.
