<p>So please tell me the flaw in my logic here:
I'm going to apply ED to my number 1 school; several of the other schools I'll be applying to have nonrestrictive EA options. So I'm thinking I could apply ED to my number 1 school and EA to all of the others that offer it. Am I the only one who's thought of this or is there something I'm missing here?</p>

As long as you pull the other apps out if you get accepted ED</p>
<p>As long as your ED school ALLOWS you to apply EA else where[ be sure to check the fine print beforehand] AND if your parents do NOT need financial aid in order to be able to afford to send you to that college, then your plan should be fine. Do NOT make the mistake of applying Ed if your parents can’t afford or are willing to pay full fare at your ED college. Getting out of an ED commitment because you find out your parents can’t afford it after all is not as easy or stress free as some may think.</p>
