I am a junior and im going to take the SAT next week. I want to get my results before deciding whether or not to take it again, so I cannot retake it in June, so this leaves the October SAT day. Only problem with this is, I’ll be applying to a couple of places (Purdue, IU, a couple other places) before November 1st to be considered for Early Action scholarships and Honors College. I’ve heard that it takes around a month to a month and a half for the tests to be scored. So if I take the test in October, will my application still be considered Early Action?
October SAT results come in October 28th, before Nov 1st. Otherwise, you can see if they accept the results directly from the SAT, some places do.
Well then wherever told me it took about a month to send in was wrong i guess… but thank you for the information
I took the October SAT and applied Early Action. As far as I know, the October one is accepted by all schools for EA; it’s the November one that only some schools take.
Your May scores should be available May 21st, which leaves more than two weeks before the June test date. You would need to register for the June test before obtaining your May scores, assuming you do not want to pay the late registration fee. If you register for June but defer testing until Oct, you will forfeit $28 (+/-), but registering now will guarantee you a seat in your preferred testing location.
Every college will list its final ACT/SAT/SAT2 testing deadlines for both EA/ED or RD. You should check with each indiv college and not leave it up to guessing.
