Applying early action

Is it MORE competitive to apply EA than RD? Or is it beneficial? Sorry if this has been asked before. Thanks

from someone i know who was at eagle day (day for accepted students) about 1/3 of them got in EA, so it seems like your chances are better

Well at the eagle day, it is true they said that, but they also told us that EA is significantly more competitive because the applicants are much stronger. But then again, if you don't get in EA, you'll most likely just get deferred, so i'd recommend it anyway.

I would definitely recommend applying EA. In my case, BC generally doesn't take a lot of students from my school, and I was the only person to apply EA. I'm not sure if I would've gotten in if I'd applied when the other 7 out of the top 10 of my class did.

sounds good, thanks

i wouldnt apply ea unless your stats were exceptional because the bar is raised. They accept a greater percentage ea because they receive better candidates during ea. hope this helps. good luck!
