Applying Early Decision as a Questbridge finalist?

What several things are different in the application process? I have contacted the school that I intend to apply early and they have not gotten back to me yet.

And no, I have not decided to participate in the Match so I am eligible to apply early.

Different from what? Do you mean how is NCM (match) different from ED/EA or how is it different applying ED as a QB finalist or do you mean something else entirely?

How is it different applying ED as a finalist? Like how do u forward ur QB app to the college and all that stuff

I think you’re asking about how to forward your QB app to a non-QB school that you are applying ED to. Is that correct? If so, you can’t. Only QB schools get your QB app. You can, however, list that you are a National QB finalist on your Common App/College App. It’s a National award, and non-QB colleges understand that QB finalists are generally at the top of the low-income applicant pool. But they don’t necessarily give you any special consideration and they don’t ever receive your QB application.

No, I am applying to a QB school and want to forward my QB app to a QB school.

And being a finalist is considered an award? I didn’t know you could list being a finalist on the Common App.

You can’t forward your QB app until December 2nd. Because of this you will need to apply ED using the common app…

OP, yes one of the advantages of being a QB finalist besides the fee waivers is the award which is considered a national award, so definitely put it on the CA. This year with the greater # of applicants (13,000), the process was a little more selective and the finalists were ~35% of the applicant pool compared with 47% last year. Unless QB starts to accept more students, the selectivity will increase and the award will become more and more prestigious.

Awesome. Thanks so much. And how do you request to get your application forwarded along with your Common App? Isn’t Dec 2 too late?

Yes, you will need to use the common app for your ED school. You can go on the QB website/login starting December 2nd and forward your app to whatever schools you want to apply to RD.

I meant for ED.
