Northeastern is currently pretty high on my list and I think there may be a decent chance of me being chosen for their University Scholars Program. My question is, would applying early action increase my chances of being chosen? If so, does that apply to other universities as well (like UMiami?) I would think this to be the case since it demonstrates interest and there are just more funds left to be given. Thanks!
There’s an approximate set number of scholars offers made, but I do not believe there is any benefit to applying early vs. regular admission. However, if Northeastern is high on your list, there’s no reason not to apply early action.
So essentially there is no advantage nor disadvantage chances-wise? @nanotechnology
There is an advantage, in my opinion, to applying ED. But many students apply EA for the peace of mind of having an acceptance in hand in case their other choices don’t happen. EA shows no real intention of attending.
