What would be considered applying early for this term?

August to apply for Summer/Fall 2010. They are only taking Spring 2010 admission right now.

K awesome!

would the fact that i go to a state university and not a cc hurt me?

I was answering for freshmen admission but I think the time frame is similar for transfer admission.

[FSU Admissions | Requirements | U.S. Transfer Student](http://www.fsu.edu/students/prospective/admissions/requirements/transreq.html)

The transfer admission page says:
Associate in Arts (A.A.) applicants
Applicants transferring directly after earning the A.A. degree from a Florida public institution will receive priority consideration for admission, as long as the foreign language admissions requirement and the requirements and milestones for admission to the major/program of interest have been met.

You need a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed the foreign language, CLAST and meet the requirements and milestones for your major. It is a bit harder to be admitted without your associates degree since you have to meet freshmen admission standards.

I was under the impression that Florida CC students had preference but the transfer page just says preference is for Florida public institutions so I think UNF would be fine if that is where you currently attend.

Thanks! I was worried about that. I know at FL the “other transfers” category was 10% acceptance! The CC transfers have all the benefit there.

After summer classes, I am thinking of going over to Tallahassee and talking to an advisor and seeing if I have any chance. Would this be a good idea? Does it help my chances to show my face?

Yes - it definitely helps to make contact with admissions personally to show your interest.

wait i dont understand this, lets say im a junior and i want to apply early, when should i apply?

If you are a junior in high school, you would want to apply starting this coming August when you see the new application available for 2010-2011.

i am a transfer and considering summer 2010.
is summer easier?
do you know the average GPA of a transfer with an AA?

PS: why do you know so much? you are all knowing!

I found something on the FSU web site that said - Transfer applicants can apply up to one year in advance of their application term. It is recommended that students apply well in advance of the deadline. So it seems you could apply as early as May/June as a transfer if the application is available online.

I also found the final deadlines for transfer applications by term
Spring 11/1
Summer 3/1
Fall 7/1

I was unable to find the average GPA of a transfer with an AA on their website.

So if i am Junior and i apply during august will they notice the changes in my gpa?, it will be way higher by the end the the first semester, will it change my chances for the better in my application?

sigh
i’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for an average GPA for a transfer.
i’ve called them… they don’t even say. they just say “have atleast a 3.0”

i’m suppperrr stressed.
