Applying ED 1. Will they request a mid-year report?

Does William and Mary request first quarter or first semester grades for Early Decision 1 applicants?

From my research in reading the W&M admission blog, 1st quarter grades for ED 1 are optional. If you think it will help your application, send them. If you think it won’t help, hold off. W&M does require a 1st semester, mid-year, report which our high school automatically sends, or you can send it.

Good luck!!

This is “old,” but it’s from the W&M Admissions Blog:

Do you consider first quarter grades in an early decision application?

Ana, depends on when they’re available. If you receive your first quarter grades in October or early November you can certainly submit them with your application (or shortly thereafter if they’re released in early November). Assuming they arrive in time to be considered (early to mid-November) we can certainly take them into account and welcome the additional info.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond!!

Eventually all schools get them, whether it’s after acceptance or before.
