Applying ED in Engineering

I visited Columbia yesterday and absolutely loved it. The campus was amazing, I loved the history behind it & the information session held by one of the admission panel was interesting. I have wanted to go to Columbia for a majority of my high school career.

I am planning on double majoring in Computer Science Engineering and Computer Engineering. But at the information session yesterday and in the booklets I picked up they said student applying to the Engineering school HAD TO HAVE one math SATII and physics or chem SATII. I took Math 2 but I am planning on taking the SAT I in October for the third time to raise my 2120 up to at least a 2250. But ED applications have to be submitted by November 1st and I won't be able to take the SAT II until past the deadline. So any advice? should I just apply regular, ED to the non-engineering school & transfer later or take physics/chem SAT II in October and stick with my not-so-ivy 2120?

“should I just apply regular, ED to the non-engineering school & transfer later”

Absolutely not. Transferring from the College to the Engineering school is much closer to transferring universities than changing your major. You have to apply as a transfer student and you don’t have a great shot at getting in. Plus, if it’s clear you’re interested in engineering, it’s very unlikely you’ll get into the liberal arts College in the first place.

Either take the SATII in one of the hard sciences and apply ED with a 2120 SAT score, or take take the SATII, re-take the SAT, and apply to the Engineering school regular decision. Whatever you do, don’t apply to the liberal arts school if you want to be an engineer.

You can take subject tests and SAT in September and October, so why can’t you take it before November 1st?
You shouldn’t apply to the college if you know you want to be an engineering major.

My sister said the same thing, to not apply to CC and apply to Engineering regular. And I the SAT isn’t offered in September, the earliest date is October.

In case anyone was freaking out like I was, Columbia takes November as the latest test date for ED. But thank you guys for your help!(:
