So I'm pretty sure that I won't be offered a scholarship, but I'm still planning to apply by the Emory Scholars deadline. This won't hurt my chances or anything regular admissions wise right? Also, it says I will receive my decision by Jan. 31 is this just for the scholarships or the regular admissions decision? If you really just find out by Jan. 31 whether or not you got in, why doesn't everyone just apply this early? It's basically just early action right?

Bump

As far as I know, the Nov 15 deadline is just for the scholarships. If yo apply RD you’ll hear if you get moved on in the scholarship competition in Jan but you won’t get your admission decision until late March or early April like every other RD applicant. If you apply ED then you will hear in December but it’s binding.

The January decision will tell you if you got into Emory Scholars–if you did that probably implies that you’ve gotten into Emory haha. If you didn’t get into Scholars you will continue to be considered for your ED1, ED2, or RD application, and your admission decision will be released at their respective dates.

Will the Emory Scholars results that come out in January be coming in the mail or through an email or online?

I seem to remember them saying at our tour that it would be email if no, and email/mail if yes.
