Applying financial aid lower my chances?

<p>Hi guys, </p>

<p>I am an international student and I applied to the Ivies and MIT for transfer. The question is how much would applying fin aid (I need full aid) to the need aware schools, yes I know that some are need blind, lower my chances of getting in? Would it make it just totally impossible? </p>

<p>And below are my stats.
Applying as Junior
Current College: Top 20 LAC
College GPA: 3.91 (Chem/Phys double major)
Courses: Took 200 chem course in freshman, 300 chem course in sophomore (fall), and taking 400 chem course currently
SAT: 2220/2400 - SATII 800 (Math 2) 800 (Biology) 800 (Chemistry)
AP: Chem (5) Phys B (5) Phys C Mechanics (5) Phys C E&M (5) Bio (4)
Rec: Asked for two chem professors who have known me well since freshman. Did research with one of them.
Extracurricular - Summer resarch, student coauthor of a paper in one of the ACS journals (I'll have another paper with my name on it pretty soon since it's being written, but it's a shame that it will be published after the whole transfer admission process), Intramural Basketball Championship (team captain), poster presentation at ACS meeting</p>

<p>For the need aware colleges it will lower your chances. I think that most students must apply for financial aid though. To pay $55,000 per year full freight would require that your parents to make >$300,000</p>

<p>If you need full aid, it would be pretty pointless to neglect to apply for the aid that you need. You wouldn’t be able to attend even if you were admitted.</p>

<p>Stop worrying about this.</p>

<p>I did apply for aid and what I’m curious about is if it’s gonna be totally impossible to get in if you need full aid. I wonder if there are previous cases in which an international student who applied for full aid got in.</p>
