Hi I am wondering if anybody is applying to St. George's school or Brooks school as a new sophmore fore the 2012 school year. I am applying to holderness, st. georges, brooks, tabor, and st marks. Right now my top two schools are St. George's and Brooks although I have yet to see tabor. Is anybody applying to either schools as a new sophmore? Or can anybody tell me more about those schools? Maybe a pro/con list? Thanks!

My pros could be your cons. What’s your gut tell you? I am familiar with 4 out the 5 schools you mentioned and some more than others. IMO, if it’s any comfort, that if you get accepted to 2/4 that I know, that you will have a tough decision and won’t regret it either way. Really tough you get in 4 or 5! They’re all great schools. Sorry, right back to square one, what’s your gut tell you?

Tabor’s new Headmaster coming from Brooks, how cool is that!

I really really liked the feel of St. George’s and Brooks, although I haven’t seen Tabor yet. My sister attends Holderness and my other sister attended St. Marks. I just want to go down my own path. Although St. George’s and Brooks are my favorite right now I can see myself at holderness or St. Marks.

I will be a sophomore girl nest year. I began with Brooks as my backup school but I really like it. :)

I’m applying to St. George’s as a sophomore too. There are 13 people I know from my school applying there. When I was at one of the receptions this fall, their admissions rep said they are adding 12 sophomores to their class (roughly equal division between boys and girls). Did you do the Today program? I did, and think I saw the campus on the nicest possible day. SGS is really beautiful and Newport is such a great town!
