I have taken 3 APs in junior year and plan on taking 4 APs (maybe 5) senior year. Would taking an 5 vs 4 AP classes make much of a difference? I have a 4.0 GPA but a fairly bad SAT score (1750) 460 CR, 670 Math and 620 Writing. I have been involved in a few clubs for 1 year each: Robotics, Speech and debate, Key Club and Soccer. I plan on continuing Key Club and Robotics (so 2 years in a row). I will also retake the SAT in Oct to hopefully get a better score.

I will apply to Oregon State University, Drexel University and Illinois Institute of Technology

It’s hard to say. You have a lot of AP classes but I would take 5 Senior year just to increase your chances. Also, colleges like to see that you are consistent in your extracurriculars but you only did your clubs for a year(2 years isn’t bad but you should have done 3 or 4). GPAs Ok but don’t you have a weighted GPA too? Or is 4.0 your weighted GPA. Get a better score on the SAT but that’s not too much of a problem. It’s hard to tell. Do good on your essays though.
