Hello College Confidential Community!

I'm currently a freshman in college and I am applying for an summer research position. The essay question that I have to answer is "What are your interests in Biology?" While I intend to major in Biology, I really have a limited knowledge of Biology and so answering this question is a bit difficult for me.

How should I start?
What kind of answer would be effective?

Thank you very much for your help. :)

try to answer why you liked biology the most, and show your real interest in biology. in this way. you can be authentic about your answer. The employer is interested in both the skills you demonstrate in solving the case along with the process that leads to your conclusion. The interviewer is not looking for the “one right answer”, but rather observing your approach to the case study problem: how you identify, structure and think through the problem along with the skills you exhibit in reaching a conclusion
