I'm debating whether to apply undecided or ECE because I really want to get in, but if I apply for CIT under ECE does it reduce my chances overall or can I still get into undeclared without ECE? Also, if I choose to apply undecided and get in and do well can I go into ECE? Thanks in advance for responses.

I don’t know the answer to your first question. To your second question, I think they take a limited number of transfer students from other engineering majors into ECE, the major factor they consider is the applicant’s first semester grades.

^ not really. it’s pretty easy to transfer into ECE internally, unless you’re in some crazy rush to do so as soon as freshman spring (and there’d be no reason to). Just take Intro to ECE (which is a very hard course, by the way) and some other ECE courses, show that you can succeed in them, and you’re as good as accepted into the major. I’m not speaking from personal experience, but that’s the impression I have from talking to people here.
