When did you guys get your invites for I2E? I’m a National Merit Semifinalist, 4.0 GPA, 34 ACT/ 2180 SAT, and I listed Baylor as my first choice for NM because I am absolutely in love with it. I’m worried that I didn’t get invited :(

I clicked submit on my app oct 1- hopefully I’ll hear back from Baylor soon!

Hi Bunny2015. If Baylor is your first choice, I recommend that you submit all recommended parts of the application. This demonstrates your level of interest in this school. I would do this before November 1. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks BaylorMom190. This helps. Just submitted Parent Info. and am working on Health Form (have to pick up shot record from doctor on Monday). Admissions said that this is the first year they have done Single Select Early Admit. They anticipate sending formal letters in the next few days.

Congratulations! My son also was notified Monday.

He received his I2E invitation beginning of October. He completed his app in September. I think one thing that is important is getting on the email list early. We have also attended four events at Baylor since his junior year, and visited the professors for the departments he was interested in. They notice how much effort you put into pursuing the college.

I agree. We have visited several times and been to the comp sci/eng weekend. We submitted our application early as well. I think that helps to get invited to IE.

My D has also applied to Baylor (and the Honors College) and will be attending IE. She had her SAT scores sent to Baylor back in May (when she took the test) so I guess that is why she was invited to IE and to a “Baylor Joe” event (an information meeting held at a local coffeehouse for desirable prospects).

I got accepted yesterday however the engineering program does not offer a graduate. What a let down well there still is pre-med to look forward to. Hope everyone gets their decision soon.

Accepted to Baylor with a 15k a year scholarship (60k total).Disappointed with the amount of aid; I felt I deserved more from Baylor considering what less achieving students I know got (around 13k).

@bunny, are you a texas resident or NMF or Baptist? I’m OOS, and even though I know Baylor is private I have heard of preference to Texas residents. Congratulations on your scholarship!

Wait @ktf1994. I read it very wrong. I got 5k a year, and I"m not a Texas Resident. Sorry. That makes so much more sense, I just heard of this University 4 weeks ago. So it really should be congrats on your scholarship!

My daughter was accepted as a National Merit Scholar with a Scholarship of 60K ( 15K a year ) We were hoping for more considering she has been offered full rides to many other colleges based on her merit status.

Check with admissions. Your daughter should get a full tuition scholarship and then some. My guess is that was just based on her test scores and not the national merit. Oh… wait it is for finalists not semi so that is why you haven’t heard. When she makes finalist, she will get the full amount. Here is what the website says:

Regents’ Gold Scholarship

Baylor provides a full tuition academic scholarship to National Merit Finalists who select Baylor as their first choice college. Further, the Regents’ Gold Scholarship is augmented by the recipients’ SAT* or ACT score.

SAT Score

ACT Score
