Applying for fall of 2010 Cornell

I sent my college transcript on January 13. So it should’ve been processed by now.

How about your other materials, I missed a lot, I am wondering is that because I havent submited my CA supplement, they wont take other materials until they receive the supplement? I hope not

No, that shouldn’t make a difference.

I am missing four items:
-College Transcript (resent)
-Teacher Evaluation (waiting on completion)
-College Official’s Report (ready to mail)
-Midterm Report (it’s midterm week for me)

I haven’t mailed my College Official’s Report yet because I was hoping to send that, Teacher Evaluations and the Midterm Report all in one UPS package.

Should I bother my teacher about my evaluations? Gave it to them more than a month ago. I expected them to have it finished right away, but I guess they’re only human…

@azonic, 2010moveon, hiroseaki: so u guys already submitted the common app? or can I send in the documents before i submit the common app + supplement app

(right now have: high school transcript, college transcript. still waiting: rec letters, official’s report and midterm report. still polishing my essays)

@azonic: i think you should email and remind them. my chem teacher asks me to keep reminding him, though i told him to take his time.

Actually I only got common application received

I am still polishing both my essays. I have not submitted anything other than all my forms.

When exactly am I supposed to fill out the midterm report? My school doesnt have midterms until early march.

@Castiel: so you sent those forms already? did they send you notifications or anything?

Actually i sent in everything (transcript, LOR, official college reports, common app…) together in Dec. but only my common app n supplement are ticked as Received.

For the midterm report, I was not really clear what is it about when i was preparing for all the doc during Dec, which is my year-end break. Therefore, i just wrote down the courses I am going to take in the coming semester (without any Grades) n collected signatures from the lecturers. I made a remark on it: Classes will only start in January 2010.

Although it is marked as Received, but I think I will need to submit an appropriate midterm report with grades for the courses i am taking this semester right?

EVERYONE CALM DOWN. It’s only early February don’t worry about them having your stuff yet.

and yes HiroseAki, you’ll need to submit a new midterm report with your grades.

OK. Thx. But i just wonder: i sent in all the supporting documents together in one big envelop, but why only midterm report is marked as Received? If they got my midterm report, they should have received my other documents as well…

why are you guys sending stuff so early?? isn’t the filing period feb 15 - march 15? they do that for a reason…

So is 2 LORs required or is 1 enough? BTW this is for CAS. Thanks

Only send 2 if the second will tell them something different than the first. They told me that they only want one if it’s the same message.

I am in a quarter system, and this quarter should be end around March 10th (it started on January 5, can I send my midterm report now?

YOU AREn’T EVEN SUPPOSE TO SEND ANYTHING YET. FEBRUARY 15TH PEOPLE. CALM YOURSELVES!

Just trying to be prepared, pal.

hahaha I LOVE HOW PEOPLE ARE GETTING FEISTY!

Yes this message had no point.

Cool it people.

I’m going to have to say that going through the process once before has definitely helped to keep me calm and collected while everyone else is in panic mode :).

I’m sure Riley will agree.

I’m personally going to follow the instructions and not going to send anything until at least February 15th.

@nt-- yes I have not submitted my common app or my supplement, but have sent my college transcripts, high school transcripts, professor recommendation, dean recommendation, and secondary school report. Basically everything other than my actual application and essays.

Well I want to submit everything other than my app for the sake of time. I had to submit my high school transcripts in January because I live in nyc and my transcripts are at my high school in florida, so I did that during winter break.

Plus I gave my professor and dean the rec early to give them as much time as I could to write a letter and mail it as they have busy schedules.
