Applying for fall of 2010 Cornell

@ntmikey: I am not sure, but I think you should put them. Putting one more spec won’t hurt you, right? If I were you, I would. By putting the VP thing, I think it shows that I’m just not a studying 24/7 nerd, but an active person too! haha. That is why I put my sorority down on the application, even though people told me I shouldn’t. AHAHAHA. I am no expert, so… :/

GAH I’m IN THE EFFING STUDYING LOUNGE, BUT IT’S MORE LIKE A SOCIAL LOUNGE! **! PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SHUT THE EFF UP!!! GHA! GAH I HAVE A BIO TEST TOMORROW, BUT THEY ARE DISTRACTING FKC OUT OF ME!!! I WANT TO CRY!!!

@azonic: EMAIL THEM, YOU CAN STILL CHANGE YOUR APP! I ASKED THEM, AND THEY SAID IT’S POSSIBLE… TO CHANGE!

@luckeyg: thanks and good luck on your test tomorrow :)

This is really weird. I submitted all my req documents and EVERYTHING’S ticked off online but when I called today to check on the status, they said that it looks like it’s all complete – everything’s in, the operator went through them – but there’s no ‘complete stamp’ (whatever that might be).

What’s happening?

Did anybody who applied via paper get a login to track their app yet? I know they definitely received my application since the check was cashed around feb 20th. I got the idea of trying my old login ID from applying last semester but that didn’t seem to work.

also curious. ^ I loath thy paper application.

@azonic lol yeah a bio requirement for a business major does sound a little silly, but I guess it is to make you more well rounded? Just a guess, but I think the majority of non bio or bio 2 takers will be AEM’s so no worries.

@nt: yeah put the vp in. It won’t hurt, because saying hey I am more active in my community and do some e.c’s will not be seen as bad, but in fact the opposite. I would send an updated resume with that on it.

luckeyg: If you so choose, you can send an updated resume and can take out the sorority if you so wish. hope you did well on your test.

@boys: for a lot of schools, they take time to upload the information on the server. Usually what is uploaded on the server isn’t an accurate respresentation of what they have, and since the people you called checked everything your good to go! In time your status will be fully updated.

Gl on ur decision my friend.

@luckyeg: Thank you very much for the heads-up. I emailed them and will be waiting for a reply. So they can “re-open” it?

@Castiel: Are you AEM? It seems like AEM majors are either scarce or quiet on this forum.

naw Biology and Society, haha business isn’t my thing, I love the sciences.

Yeah for one of the most competitive majors at CALS (if not the most) there aren’t many of them on this forum as I thought too. Hahah thats a good thing I guess.

why isn’t anyone transferring to ENG? is it really hard to get in?

I’m glad there are so few AEMers - less competition for me!

^lots of people are transferring to Enginerring, but I just don’t see many of them on this forum. Maybe they already know their stats are good? haha but yes it is VERY hard to get in. Harder than CAS. 6% if i remember correctly.

but if your thinking engineering, then don’t let that sway you, I mean it’s a great school(and you even get to build dragons once a year) lol.

lulz transferstudent2

just submitted all the papers. time to read the essays one more time and submit. good luck everyone.

submitted everything. im a free bizatch babe LOL

nt - yeah, add the vp, it definitely won’t hurt slash i just saw that you submitted, but i hope you wrote it lol

ps chill. just cause it’s not updated on the site doesn’t mean they don’t have everything.

also, don’t see alice in wonderland. it sooked.

@transferstudent2: Which concentration within AEM are you interested in?

^I would concentrate in finance.

@luckeyg & ironicallyunsure: I didnt put that VP thing on my app. I have so many activities related to my major and to each other that that tennis activity just seems out of the place, like I make it up. I didn’t know how to describe it too, “we meet up every Friday afternoon to practice Tennis”? haha. Thanks for your suggestions though

it shows that you have different interests. it’s okay, i’m sure it won’t make a difference. though you could have said something like “responsible for organizing events/matches, teach newer members how to play”, etc
