Applying for fall of 2010 Cornell

^^ That was my second option. what did you list for your second option?

Hey, how long until we get our Net ID, etc. so that we can check the status of our application? I submitted mine Saturday, so should it take a couple of days…weeks??

@ boysdontcry–mine was Interdisciplinary Program

–and I already received my NetID–although, I did turn in my app on March 2nd.–but I received an e-mail from Cornell with the username and pin probably 2-3 days later, so I don’t think you will have to wait that long. I just turned my supplement essay yesterday though. And regarding Mid-Term Report, my profs already updated my grades on WIN network which could be printed and sent via mail–I am on spring break currently, and won’t get the required signatures until next week. Does anyone think it would be appropriate to print out the grades from the WIN system? Technically, they are official. Thanks!

^ it would be best to use cornell’s midterm report form, from the website. they ask for some other details too besides the grades n signatures.

A quick question: how to answer this question on the mid-term sheet: Number of academic terms in attendance ______ ? (I am a junior transfer)

PS. Even after I submit my essay, I still cannot tell the difference between CALS biology vs CAS biology. I think I have pretty much said goodbye to Cornell.

Beware the Ides of March!

Hey kids… I submitted my application to Cornell the same day that Julius Caesar died and Nicholas II abdicated the throne. Yay! Let’s get ice cream.

Can’t wait to tell them that story.

Cornell has its own mid-term report form??? I was using the comm app one.

Cornell’s own midterm form:

http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/TransferMidtermReportForm.pdf

MAN! All this time! I was unaware! It shouldn’t be too much of an issue right?

I called three separate times today and talked to three different reps who said the deadline has been extended to the 26th. Can anyone verify or refute this statement?

Why on earth do they extend the dateline? Is it because not enough people are applying or is it because they have no time to process?

I don’t think specific midterm forms matter. I’m using the Common App one. It has spaces for comments, unlike Cornell’s.

And hopefully they just didn’t get enough applications :)

check this latest announcement out everyone:

[Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - Announcements](http://admissions.cornell.edu/announcements\index.cfm)

DONT call them! lool. they’re probably fedup of us pestering them.

^Their mailbox must be exploding with application materials lol. And if the application deadline is extended, I assume that they will post an announcement on that message board. I would highly suggest NOT calling to ask if the March 26th extension is true.

Ok… so this is off-topic… but who’s in the library right now?

I’m going to go ahead and bet my hand puppet (who is my only friend in this part of the library) that there are at least… 3 people who are in the library.

Don’t make me lose to my hand puppet - it’s embarrassing.

great they extended the deadline and their mailbox is exploding with application materials… so I guess more than normal amounts of people have applied and we all have a reduced shot of getting in huh?

My midterm still unchecked (the rest are all received), I sent it on FEB 25, I am thinking is that because they dont take comm app one(I was using the comm app one)?

I am going to send both of the forms this week since I am applying to two other colleges , but CALS is still my first choice. Since they still are accepting materials, maybe just send in the CU one also?

they ALWAYS end up extending the deadline. ridiculous. and there’s no chance that they’re not getting enough apps lol
