CONGRATS CHEEKY! I can’t believe decisions came this soon! But my app still hasn’t been forwarded for review, and I submitted it on march 14th…

OMG congrats!!!

WAIT POLEANDREEL, SO IF YOU HAVE A 5 ON AP BIO YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE TAKEN INTRO BIO I AND II (with lab) AS AN UNDERGRAD!!! WHAT THE HEEZY!!!

if that’s the case, then i just wasted 2 classes this year. i could have taken cell bio instead and then taken all those delicious upper level, super specialized bio classes at cornell (if i got in and got the the loan to go)…

Wow another acceptance? Congratulations!

Finally someone mentions the financial aspect of attending. I doubt I’m the only one applying to a million scholarships in the event I get accepted. Tuition is pricey but my friend said he got by on $600 in expenses the first semster so we’ll see how it plays out

@radlinsky- did your acceptance letter arrive at your residence hall mailroom? or your house?

AAARGH…

still

“Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.”

T_T

I don’t like the fact that the transfer time table is so general and not school specific for admissions results >:[

[Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - HOW TO APPLY](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/timetable.cfm)

I wonder. When you guys had queries on your application, did you guys e-mail them or call them?

I emailed…they usually took 48hrs or less to get back to me but different schools mean different ad coms but a call is nice also. I called once and the party I was trying to reach happened to be at a meeting but try both. Call first they probably like calls.

melonbread- if you got a 5 on ap bio then you do not need the bio requirements. I asked them today and thats what they told me bc i did not take bio this year.

were the two people recently accepted GTs?

No, I was not a GT. It was also my first time applying to Cornell.

Thanks everyone!

@boysdontcryy: It was a fat packet. Not a thin envelope.

@Cheeky4409: I havent actually seen it yet because it arrived at my home address, not at my dorm mail (although I havent checked my dorm mail in the past 2 days.) My Mom told me about it, and is mailing it to me here at school.

@jillzhou: I don’t know what you mean by guaranteed transfer, if you mean “transfer option,” then yes, I had the “Transfer Option.” I applied ED, was deferred, wait-listed, denied, and then offered the option. It isn’t guaranteed, but I was told that they give my application more/extra consideration.

@melonbread: They sent me a sweet pdf telling me all the credits I have fulfilled from my APs, and current college courses.
It says CALS credits:
AP BIOL 090A-4 credits
BIOS 041grade pending(im halfway through it now)3 credits

and then another section says Physical Life Sciences:
BIOL 090A-4 credits

Im not sure which or either or both of those is referring to my 5 on the Bio AP… It’s a little confusing… why would I have an A- from getting a 5 on the Bio AP?

i check my email every 10 mins =(

Congrats to Cheeky & Radlinksy!

@madirocks: yeah…I’m trying to limit myself to opening it every three hours or so…and I always get butterflies while waiting for it to load.

I am applicant from Kyrgyzstan. Things are crazy here. Cornell’s admission decision became less important compared to my worries about the future of my country.

yay congrats Radlinsky!!! I am so happy for you :)

At this point, I almost hope I get rejected. Getting in and not being able to go because I was an idiot and didn’t get the financial aid forms in would be heartbreaking.
