Hi everyone, I have recently applied this week to FIT for Fashion Business Management. I am very anxious and nervous, so I was curious what you think my acceptance rate would be? I have always maintained a high GPA of 3.67 or higher with a 20 on my ACT. I have done a lot with business courses, but I haven’t had the opportunity to do much with fashion (from Michigan) other than start my own blog, YouTube channel, and I am also a self-taught makeup artist at 17. Any advice would be extremely helpful!!
I am also in Business Professionals of America, Junior Rotarian, and other clubs such as Spanish club.
Hey I also applied for the fall 2016 fashion business major, when I went to the open house in October they said that if you have at least a 3.0 gpa you should be good (unless your essay is really bad)
My GPA is a 3.59 & I’m taking AP English, they really like to see AP classes so I’m hoping that I’ll be okay, I’m so nervous and I just really don’t want to have to wait until March to find out if I’m in or not 
I think you have a good chance of getting in. FIT does like to see high grades and challenging courses, but that goes hand-in-hand with your qualities and personality. FIT looks for well-rounded people that have a genuine interest or love for whatever major you are applying into, which is looked for in your essay! The essay is super important in your application and is probably the most heavily looked over piece, unless if you have a portfolio! I applied around the same time as you did, best of luck!
