Applying for financial aid and left out SSN...

Hi, I applied early decision to a school and only realized TODAY that I left out my social security number on the common app, where it says optional but must be included if I'm planning to apply for any kind of financial aid. However, in the supplement for my early decision school, there is a section for social security number for financial aid purposes and I have it there. Would that make a different/am I safe?

If I were you I might check with the school, but if it’s on your supplement I would imagine you’re safe.

@runeaglerun12 Thanks. The reason I’m asking is because it’s been a while since I submitted my application and I don’t want to embarrassingly call the admissions office and ask about it, which would make them inference that I didn’t check over my application thoroughly and am thus, an inept applicant :(

You will be fine. I left out my SSN and didn’t even realize it until the school financial aid office sent me an automatic email saying I was missing SSN. I think this happens a lot.

@ToBePremed Thank you. I can sleep tonight now. :)
