I was recently accepted to UMD and have the option to apply for housing. Should I do this immediately, or wait until I have decided whether I’m going to attend? Thanks
It depends. Is it fully refundable if you don’t go? What is the benefit for early deposit? Do you get to choose housing earlier and get better choices? Check the school’s website and find out so you can make an informed decision.
There is no fee required to submit the Housing application. Students do not select their dorms. Many are decided by which Living Learning Programs the students join. If you send your housing Application in later, you may end up in a Triple or a Quad. If you decide not to attend, just let them know in May.
