I want to study theatre in London next Spring so I'm sent in my application to LAMDA recently and I'm planning on applying to single semester programs at BADA and Accademia dell'Arte as well. I'm really hoping for LAMDA but I don't hear back until August so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. It struck me as odd that BADA requires auditions and recommendations but LAMDA just wanted an application, headshot and resume. Does that mean it's kind of a first come first serve system? I need to start making back-up plans just in case either way but I was wondering if anyone knew how this admissions process works.

bump. Please help if you can.

My D is attending the fall LAMDA. NOthing happened on her application until she met with her Dean. I think your school has to “bless” it.

I’ve applied for the same, and I was wondering how admissions worked too. But I mean for my school, they can’t approve of my doing anything until I’m accepted into a program. So if LAMDA can’t accept me without the school’s approval…bit of a conundrum.

They’re offering out positions in August. I absolutely cannot wait. I think about it every day!

@Loloshky Do you have any idea when in August they’re going to start sending offers? I’m really anxious to hear, but I don’t know if we’re supposed to have our school contact them in some way.

No, I wish I had some idea. I got an email after I applied saying my application had been processed and they would begin offering positions in August 2012 for the Spring 2013 semester. I haven’t had my school contact them either cause from the email it sounded like I was all set. Now I just check my email everyday, hoping to see an acceptance in my inbox.

Got in!!!

Me too! Beyond excited!!

Me three! So psyched :D
