Applying for multiple UC's

Does applying for multiple UC’s decrease chances of getting into a specific one? As in, if I applied to both UC Berkeley and UCLA, would the adcom decide to place me into UCLA and get me rejected from Berkeley?

No, admissions at each UC is independant of admissions at the other UCs.

each UC has their own admissions councilors

I called admission’s to ask them this before I applied. They said that it does not matter.

Each UC campus makes admission decisions independently. The only UC that favors “loyalty” is Irvine; the campus considers “applicant interest” as a factor for admissions.

I am applying to UC Berkeley and UCSD. Do I need to send SAT scores to each school or to the main UC system?

Just send the SAT Scores to one UC, either Berkeley or SD and they will forward it to the other one.
