I'm currently studying in Singapore, and am planning to apply to grade 11.sadly, there's not much resources here about prep schools.
does anyone have any particular school(s) that they recommend?
I've done a bit of research and shortlisted quite a number of schools(Exeter,Lawrenceville,St Paul's). doing fairly well in my current school(academics and extra-curricular activities), but the system is VERY different, and I'm not sure if my grades are spectacular according to the standards in the US.(75 is already considered an A1 here, so when I look at the academic expectations of the schools, I go O.O). Advice anyone?

Class rank is more important than grade point average. Are you in the top 10% of your class and taking the most challenging courses they offer? It would be best to be in the top 10% or better.

you mean 75 out of 100? 75%?

I'll keep that in mind.. Thanks Burb Parent.

blairt- yes..a 75 out of 100...

so does anyone have schools that they recommend?

The top schools are always fairly attractive, but keep your mind open to smaller, lessser known schools with moderate "prestige" but equally satisfying and awesome. Middlesex, for one. Remember, the ones that will fit you will be a better investment than a school that merely looks impressive on paper.

Have you discovered boardingschoolreview.com? It was my #1 resource while applying.

I also want to study abroad in junior year! Good luck!
