Applying for several Cal States decreases or increases chance....

I am thinking of applying for several Cal State schools even though I only really want to go to one, I was wondering if this decreases my chances of getting into that one (Cal State Fullerton). For example, if CSUF was on the fence about admitting me or not, but saw that I had also applied for CSULB and CSULA, would they just determine that because I applied for several of these state schools that they would not accept me thinking one of the others might?

I know this is a weird question. But I'm going through all the possible scenarios in my head. Does anyone know if what I mentioned above is a possibility? Or if the schools have no way of knowing if I applied or was accepted to another school already.

Thank you

You should give us a little more information about yourself. Whats your GPA and SAT or ACT score. My counselor told me that if you live closer to the cal state you have priority if your scores qualify.

it shouldnt. i wouldnt worry about it

I would be transferring as an upper level undergraduate. 63 credits completed. My GPA is 3.7

I think you have a very high chance of getting in. Don’t worry and just relax! Best of Luck!
