for me it is kind of hard to explain. i told my parents how much everything will cost us, and they have totally agreed, but they wanted me to find some financial help because they just do not want to spend that much money for my education. the problem is that last year, the total cost of attendance to NYU was something around 860 000 of my currency. this year, it is 1 120 000 and that is the main problem that has occured. it is not also like my parents have only 280k dollars on their account. they are sooo willing to spend their money on my education, but they do not want to spend everything. + they have many sources of money in investments such as houses, apartments, so they are totally conscious how much NYU costs and they want me to go there, but they would love me to get some financial help because that is just insane to spend 70k dollars per year in NYU. they said it would be OK if I could spend 50k per year. even if they still would have to spend 70k, they could do it, but this is just insane. they want me to go to NYU but they also want me to find a way to not pay that much, because for a person from my country, where 1 dollar is 4 of my money, this is just too much.
