Applying for UIUC Statistics + CS as first or second choice?

I believe UIUC applicants can list a first and second choice major in their freshman application.

I’m curious if current students in the Statistics + CS program applied to that program as their first or second choice.

Does it improve the odds of acceptance if Statistics + CS is listed as the first choice?

They dont look at the second choice unless you’re denied from your first. My guess is no.
