Applying from out of state

Is there any special application that out of state students need to use to apply for admissions at Pitt?

Is there housing available for out of state students?

Son is OOS and used the same application that everyone else did. Pitt guarantees housing for freshmen students for three years if you fulfill the housing deadlines (deposit etc.).

No, you use the same app as everyone else. If your stats, recs and essays (which are, however, not required) are good enough you may get a full tuition scholarship which is great for OOS. And of course there is housing!

wow really? transfer students get full rides? does it matter if the student completed their Associates or not?

No, not transfer students just incoming freshmen students (OOS or in-state).

“International students and new transfer students are not eligible for University academic scholarships. Continuing students at the University of Pittsburgh who were not awarded a scholarship as an incoming freshman student are also not eligible to be considered for an academic scholarship.”
