Hi!

So lately I've been realizing that while in high school I was more concentrated in computer science, I don't think that's what I want to do in the future. However I know that I'm more interested in sciences and engineering, and I'd probably choose another discipline in the college of engineering. (right now i'm looking at chemical and civil)

I'm taking ap physics c and multivariate calc/diffeq this year.

Would it be worth applying undeclared engineering over eecs? Or should I just choose a major and switch around (how viable is this)? Also, would I be able to skip out of math if I do well in it this year?

Thanks!

Engineering undeclared lets you freely choose a College of Engineering major. Entering as EECS or another CoE major means that you would have to apply to change to another major, contingent on space available and doing well enough in your courses. However, engineering undeclared is probably more competitive for frosh admissions.

Note that chemical engineering is in the College of Chemistry, not the College of Engineering.

If you are not in the College of Chemistry but want to change to major in it (e.g. chemical engineering), the procedures are described here:
