Hello guys,
I’ve applied for BEng in Electronics at HKUST.
My request to everyone is not to clutter the HKUST and HKU thread.
Please keep them separate.
Thanks !

I’m applying to HKU BSS in psychology! So excited! I totally thought I wouldn’t apply anywhere in Hong Kong but at the last minute I decided to and I am glad I did. HK is a lovely city and it’s going to be nice to have a local option. Any more Indians applying to HKU out there?

Hi All,
I’ve applied to HKU, HKUST and CUHK. SO far I’ve got accepted into CUHK for Electrical ENg (which was my 1st choice). I’m wondering if anyone heard from HKU or HKUST.
I’m particularly looking for any word from HKUST, and if anyone knows, can you tell me what sort of scholarships I can expect from HKUST, their above average generous scholarship, I mean.
And besides looking over the threads, can people share what they know about HKUST.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there’s anyone out there who has previously applied or is getting ready to apply to a PhD program at HKU or CUHK? I’m from the US - looking into Public Health, Health Economics and Anthropology courses of study. It is tough to find clear statistics/information about what these departments want exactly. I have a 3.8 undergraduate GPA, research and employment experiences, conference presentations and 1 peer review journal publication under my belt. I’m just wondering what my chances are…I’d love to do my PhD in Hong Kong.

Thanks for your help!

Hi there,

I am a new member here and was wondering for quite sometime whether HKU is still sending acceptance or denial letters to applicants for MFin class of 2012. I am really interested in this program and have still not heard from HKU. When I went to the University back in Feb, they said they will declare the admission decisions by April 2nd week. Has anyone heard from them other than blubblip.

Thanks.

@HKU ADmissions: when can I expect to get a reply for HKU Beng Biomedical Engineering 2011? It’s may already! Does this mean i am not selected. I had two interviews already (one in january and the other in march)

Hey,
I am a grade 12 student from Toronto, considering applying HKU this year. I have around 90 average (8 courses) for first report(Nov), 92 average for Mid-term(in Feb), I am getting around 2100 on SAT, 800 SAT Math 2 and 720 SAT Chemistry. I self-studied 4 AP courses (Psychology, Microeconomics, Chemistry, Physics) in Grade 11 and got all 4s. (because my school doesn’t offer AP program but I took the most demanding courses at school). I also going to take 4 other AP exams this year (Calculus BC, Macroeconomics, Statistics and U.S History) I scored 108 on TOEFL. I have great extracurriculars including co-op(for business), internships (for both law and business), part-time jobs, volunteers, and lots of clubs. I am an immigrant holding mainland passport. I am wondering how much possibility do I have to get into HKU law or business program?

Hey guys can anyone tell me what type of question they ask on the HKU phone interview…my interview is tomorrow…any kind of help will be appreciated

@EngStu01 hey when did you apply to cuhk? I have applied in Jan but did not hear anything from them yet.
Thanks in advance
