I have looked at the website and am wondering, is there any use in applying now? Is it possible that I’ll still receive full scholarship consideration? I really hope I would, because Alabama would be one of my first choices if it is more affordable than other colleges I am applying to. I didn’t really look into Alabama much until recently and I guess I am starting to like what I see.

What are your stats and what state are you from?

Dec 1 is the “priority date,” but UA has been known to give scholarships to those who apply past the date.

32 ACT, 3.9 Weighted GPA, not sure about unweighted.

I’m just hoping that I’d still be considered for scholarships…thanks for that, that makes me think I at least have a chance.

I see that you have an ACT 32 from another post. What is your weighted GPA.

edited…crossposted.

OK…UA takes your weighted GPA as long as it’s on your transcript.

What state are you from? I do think that you have a chance if you apply ASAP. You need to apply, and then get the follow-up email (with info to set up your log-on to MyBama). Then you’ll log-on and apply for scholarships (the follow-up email will come a couple of days after you apply to the school). Do the scholarship app as soon as you get the email.

You need to have scores sent and transcripts sent ASAP.

Ya, I’m going to do everything ASAP. Thank you very much. I’m from Illinois. I finished the application and just need to get everything sent in, which I’ll be doing as soon as I can.

Good luck. :)

Be on the lookout for that email. I don’t know if the offices are open this week, but if they are, hopefully you’ll get that email by Tuesday.

Just wondering if AU professors have the same view of “due date” as admissions?

Are you wondering if UA profs are lenient with due dates for assignments. NO!

BTW…AU is auburn.

The scholarship thing is a “priority date” which means that if you apply by that date with the set stats you will definitely get that scholarship. If you apply after that date for scholarships, you aren’t guaranteed it. So, it’s not assured after Dec 1.

This isn’t something unique. Other schools do this, too, for scholarships when they have a “priority date” and not a set date.
