Applying Multiple Times

If someone applies for sophomore transfer and is rejected, are they put at a disadvantage when they apply for junior transfer?

No, they are not put at a disadvantage.

Do you know if admissions keeps a record of your previous transfer application?

I don’t know if they keep a record of your previous transfer application. Trust me, though. My brother did this and it had no impact on him getting into UCLA and UC Berkeley as an undergrad. Sophomore transfers are hard to make happen as most colleges place an emphasis on junior transfers where they only consider your CC work (unless you’re trying to transfer to a private college).

You don’t have anything to be worried about.

^I’m trying to transfer from a UC to a private.

Some schools keep old applications, others don’t. You need to look on websites or give them a call.

I’m not seeing it on the CA Transfer app, but I thought there was a question asking if you’d ever applied, and if so, what was the decision.

Either way, I don’t think it affects the transfer decision, they will base that on your entire application.
