Applying online and through mail?

Hi I wanted to know how the process of applying while completing the two in an orderly fashion. I'm in the process of writing my essays and will probably send them (online possibly). Is it possible for me to complete the online application around now and send other bits of my application later without too much hassle? I ask this because the online application came out a bit ago and my school doesn't start until Sept. 8 which I think is pretty late in my standards because my Michigan GPA is only 3.6 and planning to major in Dentistry. Anyways, can I send my transcript, LORs, and any other documents that much later? (I'm talking about possibly having them sent in the mail by mid-September) Or should I just wait and complete everything at once?

Yep, you can send part of your application now and the rest later. They won’t start evaluating your application until they get everything in though.

While on the topic of the application, For my counselor LOR, I realized that due to the budget costs, I’m pretty sure that he got let go and I have no idea what to do with my new counselor because he/she does not know me and likewise.

P.S. I am wondering if anyone is willing to look at my U of M essays when I am done with them, I should be done this week

Just get in touch with your new counselor and explain the situation. Chances are he/she will get in contact with your old counselor and either get him to provide some points, or even write the LoR entirely. Worse case scenario, your new counselor conducts an interview to get to know you better and writes your LoR.

I’ll be happy to take a look at your essays if you want. Just PM me.

Yeah, if you can still get in contact with your old counselor, he can still write a LoR for you, even if he’s no longer a counselor. And sure, I can read your essays if you want.
