I'm applying to three colleges online, one of which I completed yesterday. When I went to look at my Activity Log, it came to my attention that I'd completed my registration under an SN I thought was for another school. I figured I'd accidentally switched my papers around so I checked the address at the bottom to see if I'd labeled them incorrectly.

I didn't...did I just unnecessarily create multiple accounts under the same info for three different schools? I didn't even know that was possible... Should I just stick with the one I used to apply to school number one? Could this mess anything up?

I think the OP is saying that they made three different accounts to apply to schools when he/she could have simply just made and applied to all of them, since his profile would have had the same information.

I'm applying to THREE colleges ONLINE. When I went to each one, I made an account assuming they were all separate. Simply put, I figured it was the same thing as applying to a forum. My name here is Linx. The information I put in is for THIS site. On other forums, I go by different names, depending upon what's taken and what's not. They're all SEPARATE though. I couldn't go to one of the other sites I frequent and use THIS site's information to get in, that's not how it works.

Each time I made a new account, I printed out the page that stated what my SN is and wrote down the name of the school at the top so I could keep them separate. When it came time to apply to college #1, I went in under the name I thought I'd made for it. Later on, I realized I hadn't, that the name I'd used was for ANOTHER school. Since I still thought they were separate, I figured I'd just switched my paperwork around and labeled them incorrectly.

Now it would seem as though I only needed to create ONE SN and that I'd unnecessarily created THREE. In other words, THEY'RE NOT SEPARATE. In other, other words, THEY'RE "UNIVERSAL" (they can be used for any school).

murkywater...you're the only one who got it, thanks.
