APPLYING Regular Decision

Hey I heard that it is WAY more competitive in the regular applicant pool so chances of getting in are low. The application is worth 40+ dollars, and you have to write 3 ESSAYs and crap, so why bother applying when you know chances of getting in are extremely slim?

That’s why you apply ER.

yeah, i have to admit it was really stressful writing 3 “perfect” essays and paying the 40 bucks, knowing that I might get waitlisted or deferred.

Is $40 really going to stop you from applying? It’s not meant to be a prohibitive cost. Go steal $40 if you really can’t afford it otherwise.

Look at it as an investment. You could spend $40 to win $40,000 or more in scholarships. Or, opposite view, if you’re willing to spend $100,000 to $200,000 in some college or another over the next four to five years, why wouldn’t you spend $40. to check out your chances at a really great one???

Just a thought. Foster a positive attitude. Intent is everything : )
