I personally think you should look at more mid-level schools and give up on the Ivies unless you raise your UW GPA to a 3.9+ and get a 2300+ on the SAT. The first generation status will NOT make up for low scores at the Ivies. That’s the breaks. (I was rejected from Princeton and NYU with significantly higher stats, despite being Hispanic and first generation, just to show you – and this was in 2006.)

You have great ECs, so why not focus on schools that are more probable reaches that could potentially try to lure you with scholarships? I’m thinking of schools ranked in the low 20s - high 60s. Some suggestions:

GOOD REACHES:
UVA
Boston College

PROBABLE ACCEPTANCES:
U of Washington
UT Austin
Penn State
George Washington
Tulane
