Applying to College

Hi I am a high school senior with a 2.9 GPA. I scored a 1500 on my SAT the first try without studying. I am scared if I will get into college due to my academics. I am a soccer player whom has played against the US Boys National Team and has been invited to National Camp for Soccer (USBNT). I have also played with many high level teams. Also have beat THE US Womens National Team. I have all of this on my resume, but I feel like my grades are a bit weak. I will be retaking the SAT this week and hope to get a 1700+. Will my SAT score help me get into a good college.

Schools I have in mind: University of Boulder Colorado, University of San Francisco, University of Syracuse, University of Oregon, Oregon State, and University of Washington

Are you an international student? If not, what state do you live in?I think that Syracuse, U of Washington, and probably UColo-Boulder are out of reach for you, even if your scores improve. As a point of reference, my son was waitlisted by UWashington with a 3.3-3.4 unweighted GPA (4.0+ weighted) and a 2060 SAT.

I am from Southern California
